Why Tunisian election recorded only 8,8% turnout.
Last election carried out in Tunisia showed that almost no one believes in changing Tunisian president. After suspending parlament and establishing new constitution, Tunisian president Kais Saied is ruling almost alone for the last year. Because of that, no one believed that voting in this election would change anything in the government or presidential seat. 91% of Tunisians not voting in this election is a signal for Saied that very few Tunisians support him. After introducing new constitution, Saied called other political parties an enemies of people and left them with almost no political rights. By that Tunisia broke the record of having the lowest voting rate in modern history elections.
